Recruitment and interview process
Teaching staff
- Applications are submitted through the online portal.
- You will receive acknowledgement of your application and will be informed if you have been selected for interview.
- Teaching interviews generally consist of a face-to-face interview and a teaching observation. All information will be provided prior to the scheduled interview. We will ask you to advise us at this point of any adjustments that you may require to enable your attendance at the interview.
- You will be required to bring ID with you so that we can ensure we are following our safeguarding procedures.
- A tour of the school will also form part of the interview process.
- If you are successful, you will receive your offer letter and supporting documentation through the online portal.
- A provisional start date will be agreed, and your induction and training plan will begin to be drafted.
- The HR team will liaise with you to arrange a visit to the Foundation Office in which you will be requested to bring all your relevant documentation (such as DBS once completed, right to work documentation etc). This is required to ensure we are satisfying all safeguarding and ISI regulations.

Professional Services staff
- Applications are to be submitted through the online portal.

- Our interview process for Professional Services staff typically involves one or more competency-based interviews, as well as potentially a task relative to the role. Additionally, we kindly ask you to inform us in advance of any adjustments you may need to facilitate your attendance at the interview.
- You will be required to bring ID with you so that we can ensure we are following our safeguarding procedures.If you are successful, you will receive your offer letter and supporting documentation through the online portal.

Safeguarding
At Coventry School Foundation we are fully committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children. All candidates invited to interview will be asked to demonstrate their understanding of safeguarding to a member of staff who is trained in Safer Recruitment. We expect all interviewees to have reviewed the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy for either Bablake or King Henry VIII School.
