Pupils at both King Henry VIII School and Bablake School are celebrating exceptional GCSE results, marking one of the strongest years for academic achievement across the Coventry School Foundation.

At King Henry VIII School, nearly 50% of all grades were 8 or 9 and 70% were 7-9. In subjects such as Latin and Drama, all pupils achieved grades 7-9, while English and Maths saw over 70% of grades in this top band.

Standout performances included Diya with ten grade 9s and triplets Jacqueline, Francesca and Cassandra, who achieved 17 top grades between them.

Mr Richard Sewell, Headmaster at King Henry’s said:

“Our Year 11 pupils are celebrating fantastic GCSE results, matching some of the strongest outcomes we have seen in recent years.”

At Bablake, two thirds of pupils secured at least five grades at 7 or above, with 40% of all grades at 8 or 9.

Individual successes included India with eleven grade 9s, Izabela and Teyah with ten grade 9s each and Aaron, who balanced national-level sport with ten GCSEs at grade 7 or above.

Mr Andrew Wright, Headmaster at Bablake said:

“These achievements demonstrate not only academic excellence but also the commitment and character that will serve them well in the future.”

CEO & Principal Chris Staley commented:

“These excellent results across both schools are a testament to the talent, effort and resilience of our pupils. The Foundation is incredibly proud of all they have achieved and we look forward to supporting them as they continue their journey in our Sixth Forms next year.”
