Our Year 9 Design & Engineering pupils had the honour of donating a historic book of British Leyland facilities plans to the British Motor Museum archives in Gaydon. This rare collection, discovered in our Design Technology department store room, provides a fascinating insight into Britain’s automotive history and it was a privilege for our pupils to hand it over for preservation.
While at the museum, pupils also enjoyed a guided tour and participated in the Engineering Apprentice interactive workshop, where they experienced the challenges of a motorsport pit crew and raced remote-controlled cars.
This visit was a unique opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world engineering and to contribute something of lasting historical value to the museum.
